Giving Back

At Fire in the Gut, we feel strongly about “Giving Back.” It is one of our core values.  Just like our fabric technology, we have “hard-wired” this value into the company’s charter.  We have pledged to give back to organizations and communities through charitable contributions in the form of time and money.  We have also pledged to give back to society globally by inspiring others to take action that has a long-term positive effect on our planet.

Giving Back to Organizations and Communities



The expression “Fire in the Gut” comes from the United States Navy SEAL teams.  We have pledged to give to the SEAL-Naval Special Warfare Foundation. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation's mission is to provide educational and motivational support, promote health and welfare programs for the Naval Special Warfare Community, and perpetuate the history and heritage of the U.S. Naval Commandos.  Naval Special Warfare is comprised of U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC), and support personnel.  Every day, these brave sailors operate around the world to protect our country, our families and maintain freedom.  We want to do all we can to support them.



We are also committed to supporting the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). It is the mission of the CAF to provide opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. The CAF believes that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. 

Fire in the Gut is a “No-Quit” attitude.  The CAF athletes overcome adversity by taking a Fire in the Gut mentality on life.  They should serve as an inspiration to all of us as we pursue the extraordinary in our athletic endeavors. 

Inspiring Others to Take Action on Helping Our Planet

Statistics indicate that as much as 82 percent of energy used in a garment’s life-cycle is expended just through washing and drying.  To reduce this carbon footprint of apparel use, it is up the consumer to take action.  Our primary mission at FITG is to manufacture technical clothing that will help inspire others to pursue the extraordinary in their athletic endeavors.  We are adding to that mission by encouraging others to wash less.  “Sweat More, Wash Less”
