Fire in the Gut is all about motivation, strong will and determination. The expression “Fire in the Gut” comes from the United States Navy SEAL teams. The “Fire in the Gut” award is presented to the graduating Navy SEAL candidate in each Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) class who demonstrates the best attitude throughout the entire 26 weeks of BUD/S training. It is an award that is voted upon by your fellow classmates. In short, Fire in the Gut is the “No-Quit” attitude of a Navy SEAL Warrior.
We have taken this perspective on life and made it our mission to manufacture innovative technical clothing that helps inspire others to pursue the extraordinary in their athletic endeavors. Whether you are running the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run, trying to qualify for the Boston marathon or snowshoeing with your family in Telluride, Colorado, our clothing has been tested and proven to help you in these athletic pursuits.
Our shirts are made from Cocona® Fabrics. Cocona® Fabrics and yarns are made using natural technologyTM derived from coconut shells that are turned into activated carbon particles and permanently embedded into the fiber of the fabric. The fabric in our shirts can absorb a lot of sweat and dry really fast because of the all of the carbon particles in the fabric. It also is odor-resistant and usually does not smell during or after a workout. As a result, our shirts ultimately do not have to be washed after every workout, which ultimately reduces the overall carbon footprint of their use. A final benefit of the fabric is that it protects your skin from dangerous ultraviolet rays (up to 50 Ultraviolet Protection Factor).
In our opinion, we designed a shirt with a perfect fit right out of the bag. Not too tight or too loose. Looks and feels great. The design follows athletic function. Non-abrasive flatlock stitching and realigned seams minimize chafing during use.
The bottom line is we have created something unique – shirts for the warrior athlete.
